Deadline for submissions: 31 March 2025

General Guidelines

What is the submission based on?

Our Apr 2025 Issue is based on the theme of "rooms we no longer enter". Any works that don't fit the theme will not be accepted.

Rooms We No Longer Enter—a phrase that lingers like dust settling in untouched spaces. These are the rooms of memory, the places in our minds and hearts that we hesitate to revisit. Sometimes, they hold echoes of lost love, grief, and regret. Other times, they are filled with the ghosts of our former selves—versions of us we have outgrown or abandoned.

So why do we avoid these rooms? Is it fear of what we might find? Or the quiet ache of remembering? The spaces we leave behind are not always empty; they carry the weight of stories left unfinished, words left unsaid, and the lives we once lived.

The 2025 Issue #7 of ZIMETRA Magazine invites Poets and Artists from around the world to contribute work that explores these unvisited places. What doors have you closed? What memories refuse to be forgotten? Whether it’s mourning a person, a moment, or an entire life once imagined, we want to hear your story. Show us the rooms you no longer enter—and the ones you still long to return to.

Please read below sections on the process of submission.
